About Us

Guru Tegh Bahadur Sikh Temple Inc. was founded in January 2015 and is a religious non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Sikh Sangat of Mississippi comes together here to form a community for our religious functions. Everyone is welcome.

Worship Schedule

Every Day

  • 6:00 am Parkaash Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, followed by Nitnem
  • 6:00 pm Rehras Sahib, followed by Sukhaasan

Saturday

  • Same as every day, plus:
  • 4:00 – 6:00 pm Kirtan & Paath classes for kids and adults, taught by Granthi Singhs
  • Punjabi language school (Saturday & Sunday)

Sunday

  • 6:00 am Parkaash Guru Granth Sahib, followed by Nitnem
  • 9:00 am Sri Sukhmani Sahib Paath
  • 11:00 am – 1:30 pm Kirtan & Katha
  • 6:00 pm Rehras Sahib, followed by Sukhaasan

Sunday schedules may change on special occasions and Akhand Paath days.

Faith

To promote and practice the religious teachings of the Sikh faith.

Community

To conduct cultural, educational, and other noteworthy humanitarian works.

Gurdwara

To establish and maintain our own Gurdwara Sahib, a Sikh place of worship.
